TerrAfrica has been supporting several communication and information sharing initiatives, from which the necessity for greater coherence in communicating the Sustainable Land & Water Management (SLWM) and African landscapes messages across different sectors has been identified.  Consistency and harmonisation in communicating SLWM/TerrAfrica has emerged as key in fighting land degradation in Africa.

On April 5-8, TerrAfrica will host an Orientation and Information Support Seminars for Information and Communication Officers in Ministries of Agriculture, Environment and other related Government Ministries for TerrAfrica Francophone member countries and RECs. The seminar will be held in Dakar, Senegal as a step towards engaging stakeholders at national level in harmonising SLWM/TerrAfrica messaging.

Organized by the NEPAD Agency, the workshop’s aim is to raise the level of awareness of TerrAfrica Partnership within the Sustainable Land & Water Management, African Landscapes and Climate Change, and to enhance national systems for greater participation of the public and various constituencies in the agricultural & environment sector.(Read More)
