The platform has been established by a team from TerrAfrica at NEPAD (Mamadou Diakhite, Teko Nhlapo, Rudo Makunike, as well as William Critchley, consultant to NEPAD). The process was supported by Paola Agostini, Anna Corsi, Philippe Eric Dardel and Madji Seck (Africa Region, World Bank), and by Mei Xie, Todor Arsovski, Sarah Cardona, Huan Yu (Climate Change, World Bank). Teko Nhlapo served as technical and project lead. Todor Arsovski assisted the NEPAD team in the design and supervision of the platform development. The web-development was done by Assyst, an IT vendor to NEPAD.
The content of the platform draws from a TerrAfrica publication, and a Video module, as cited below and these are gratefully acknowledged: "Sustainable Land Management in Practice – Guidelines and Best Practices for Sub-Saharan Africa. TerrAfrica, WOCAT and FAO. By Liniger, H.P., R. Mekdaschi Studer, C. Hauert and M. Gurtner. 2011. Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the multi-donor TerrAfrica Leveraging Trust Fund". The videos in the case study section are drawn from the SLM video series, "Sustainable Land Management in Sub-Saharan Africa", 2012, produced by IFAD, WBI, IIED and VU University, and directed by William Critchley.
